Abstract
Online learning is estimated to be worth $1 trillion by 2032, with a 900% growth rate since 20001. There is plenty of room for occupational therapy (OT) practitioners to enter the online learning space by creating and selling digital products on topics that they are experts in. OT practitioners have many of the skills to venture into entrepreneurship successfully and establish themselves as pioneers in any OT niche area that they are passionate about, be it lymphedema management, hand therapy, sensory integration, postpartum care, caregiving respite, and so on. Digital communication mediums, such as social media, offer OTs a powerful way to reach their ideal audiences by the masses and build their brand.
There are many digital products that OTs can create and sell to enter the online learning space. These include online courses, eBooks, online summits and conferences, coaching sessions, consulting services, monthly memberships, and much more. In this presentation, I will share my personal journey to becoming a 6-figure OT online business owner, outline different digital products that OTs can make, and help audience members harness free and low-cost tools that they have at their disposal already to help them start connecting with their potential clients online.
